The Anglo-Dutch Match

This year's England v Holland 'friendly' match, sponsored by Lansing Bagnall in Hampshire, was drawn 10-all. Late on the second day England stood 2 down with 3 to play but, in games averaging over 60 moves, Hartston saved a critical game and his wife (on the ladies' board) and Bellin won.
